GMC Key Fob Programming
We cover 149 GMC model years, and 94 of them can be programmed at home with GM's procedures. On trucks and SUVs like the Sierra, Yukon and Acadia, you can add a transponder key using one that already starts the engine. Remotes can be reprogrammed with or without the Driver Information Center. Some models need a locksmith or dealer, including the Canyon, Jimmy, Safari and Sonoma. Every GMC year we cover takes the same battery, a CR2032.
Choose your GMC model for programming steps, the battery it uses, and the correct replacement fob with FCC ID and part number — 149 model years across 21 models.
