Honda Key Fob Programming
Honda remotes can be programmed at home by cycling the ignition, but only 52 of the 158 Honda model years we cover use that routine. It erases every remote on the car, so you reprogram all of them at once, up to three. Each step has to follow the last within five seconds. Nine models need a locksmith or dealer, including the Ridgeline, HR-V and S2000. The most common battery is the small CR1616, not the CR2032 people tend to reach for.
Choose your Honda model for programming steps, the battery it uses, and the correct replacement fob with FCC ID and part number — 158 model years across 17 models.
